Generate Interest Statements & Event Based Payments

Interest payments and event-based payments are crucial aspects of the investment process. Interest payments are scheduled disbursements based on the terms of the investment, while event-based payments are triggered by specific milestones or occurrences within the investment lifecycle.

Each investment package has predefined interest payment dates, ensuring that payments align with the agreed terms. However, only admin users have the ability to generate the necessary statements and reports related to these payments. These reports provide transparency and ensure that all financial activities are properly tracked and documented.

How to Generate Interest Statements #

General Interest Runs #

  1. Login to your Administrator account
  2. Access “Investments” on the main left navigation and click “Scheduled Based Payments”
  3. Select the date
  4. Run the report
  5. Download the report Xls
  6. Create a task to the issuer of the package for confirmation
  7. Upon confirmation, run steps #1-4 again
  8. Click “Generate both” (this generates statements & PDI’s (Payment Disbursement Instructions))
  9. Statements are automatically generated and updated in the Disbursement module for processing.

Please note: A notification will be sent to the Admin’s email one week prior to an upcoming interest date as a reminder to begin the processing. A second notification will be issued on the interest date to ensure the timely generation of statements. Additionally, reminders will be displayed directly on your Admin dashboard, providing a comprehensive overview of the upcoming interest dates.

    Part Period Interest #

    A part period refers to a specific interest statement that calculates the accrued interest from the end of the last interest cycle up to the investment’s maturity date.

    Enhanced Interest #

    Enhanced interest refers to additional interest payments offered as part of an incentive for investors. These enhanced interest payments are provided based on a signed agreement between the issuer and the investor.

    How to Generate Event Based Payments #

    1. Login to your Administrator account
    2. Access “Investments” on the main left navigation and click “Event-Based Payments”
    3. Select the date
    4. Enter in the % to be paid (this is referring to the % off the principal amount)
    5. Run the report
    6. Download the report Xls
    7. Create a task to the issuer of the package for confirmation
    8. Upon confirmation, run steps #1-4 again
    9. Click “Generate both” (this generates statements & PDI’s (Payment Disbursement Instructions))
    10. Payments are generated and updated in the Disbursement module for processing.
